To answer the obvious question. Yes, arm deodorant is very important to me. I love smelling pretty and confident. I personally dislike walking into a room and being smacked in the face with the unpleasant smell of a stinky body. Others may relish in this and if you do, feel free to not read this blog and move along with no disrespect. I also want to feel confident without harming my body. Many arm deodorants and antiperspirants have heavy metals in them. One being Aluminum. Aluminum is known to poison the blood, musculoskeletal system, kidney, liver and respiratory system. Armpits are very special. They help regulate body temperature and produce sweat to cool you down. The armpit contains a large amount of sweat glands and the sweat you produce contains fluid called perspiration and it's composed of water, electrolytes and other substances. It's one of the warmest areas in the body and houses over 20 lymph nodes called Axillary Lymph Nodes. These ALN over see the regulation and filtration of the upper limbs and back. The Lymph transports oxygen, hormones and nutrients through the body while removing metabolic waste. Why, on Gods Green Earth would you contaminate this system with toxin? We get enough toxins outside as it is.
Since I'm my own guinea pig for products, I found a fantastic company called Little Seed Farms who make their own arm deodorant creams that are aluminum, baking soda and animal cruelty free. Some of the creams have activated charcoal which helps with detoxing. They are a Family Owned Farm(they even have goats, bahhhhhh) and use all Clean and Simple Products. The ingredients are nourishing and the smell last for 24 hours. They carry really unique fragrances that are seasonal (so stock up) like Blue Tansy Rose and Blue Lotus. I've used this product in other areas of my body(belly button, chest etc....) because the smell is so amazing! This company also gives free samples, which is how I first tried their product. They have a wide selection of other amazing items. Below is a link to LSF if you have a desire to try a product that is not harmful and benefits humanities nostrils.
